As 2007 comes to a close, I think its only fair that I do some reflecting over the past year. 2007 has definitely been a great year for me. January is when senioritis when in to full effect -seriously. January 4th I got my acceptance letter to Howard. And I waited for that scholarship letter. What's that? No scholarship? Oh well, I'm still going. In February, I didn't receive a Valentine's day gift for the umpteenth time but I really don't need a day to know that there are plenty of people who love me :-). I turned 18 in March - YAY! Not like I did anything when my legal status. Oh wait - I did register to vote - YAY me! I went to my senior prom in April - which was a boatload of crap :-/. There was so much drama surrounding it. But it definitely opened my eyes and helped me see who my REAL friends were. Anywho prom was nothing to write home about. I went on my Senior trip to Florida. That was a whole lot of fun, watching people make a fool of themselves; sharing a room with some "friends" who I didn't want to be in the room with. Realized that I can have a lot more fun with other people (luv ya roomie). May was the month of GRADUATION. I cried like a damn baby - but I knew that I would. I graduated number 29 out of a class of 470. I had a hawaiian themed graduation party. In June, I started working at Stone Mountain Park. I also went to HAWAII as a graduation present. July and August I was still working. That job was fun at times but for the most part it was just a job that put some cash in my pocket. I worked 12 hour days 4 times a week. Anywho August 17, I left for Howard University. YAY!!! I moved in on August 18 and I haven't looked back yet :-). September my parents celebrated 25 years of marriage. It was a beautiful ceremony. My parents act like newlyweds in all aspects..lol. October I experienced what was supposed to be a Howard Homecoming...ummm about that...lol. It was ok but it definitely didn't live up to standards. It was a chance for clubs to hike the price and guys to have a reason to line up on Georgia Ave waiting for some girl to talk to. In November nothing special happened. During Thanksgiving we did plant a tree in memory of my grandparents which was nice. December was full of finals and finally coming home!!! Oh yeah a 3.8 GPA slipped up in December. Overall the year has been pretty good. I lost some friends but gained some better ones. Gained a best friend(roomie), a sister(rabbit), a momma (Bendi). Cried a few times but laughed a whole lot. Fortunately, I didn't experience death in my family, didn't attend any funerals. I'm thankful that I'm ending the year with the same people that I started it with. I've met some people who have tried to play me (One has a girlfriend but keeps looking at me like he wants to eat me up, one keeps telling me that he loves me despite the fact he told me to leave him alone, and one who cant make up his mind about his girlfriend - one week they together the next they are taking a break and so on) but in the end, it is them who are missing out!!!
Next year I want to work on 3 things:
1st - I want to start reading the Bible more and having a better understanding of things so that I can spread the Word; 2nd - I want to exercise more and become a healthy person; 3rd - I want that 4.0 baby!!! Thank you God for bringing me through another year. I never would have made it without you! Now I'm ready to tackle 2008!!
Happy New Year!!!

A year in review hmmm.... sounds great. The only thing I'm looking forward to in Januray is seeing my kiddies. After that it's one day at a time. I don't think I'll make resolutions this year.
